Born in Miami Beach, Florida, and of Jamaican-American descent, Ellison Kendrick realized at an early age that music and entertainment would always be a part of his life. Like most R&B artists, as a youth he was raised in church and an active lead vocalist of the choir. He was eventually signed as a solo artist by R&B legend Betty Wright (Ms. B Records) and toured as a backing vocalist for Betty Wright. He is also the former male backing singer for Grammy award winner Joss Stone and is a voting member of the Grammy Academy, Miami chapter. Ellison would later sign with EKG records.
Ellison’s dynamic career has led him to working with various artists such as Enrique Iglesias and hip hop artist DMX. He wrote and released the single Black Suit, which charted on Billboard single sales at number 11, and his diverse portfolio also includes jingles for Coca Cola and Nestle. Kendrick has also crossed into acting with a role in the move PreJudge Us as a news reporter, and also started his own label, Nosille Music Group, to which he has signed several up-and-coming artists
